GI Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling martial art where you control and submit opponents through leverage and technique rather than strikes, making it effective for self-defense regardless of size or strength; training in the Gi, the traditional jacket and pants adds grip-based control that sharpens technique, patience, and problem-solving beyond what no-gi offers, while also building full-body conditioning, mental toughness under pressure, and a structured belt-ranked path of progress within a tight-knit training community.

No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

No Gi Submission Grappling is a faster-paced form of grappling trained in rash guards and shorts instead of a traditional jacket, where the absence of fabric grips forces control through underhooks, overhooks, and body positioning rather than clothing, closely mirroring MMA and real-world confrontations where an opponent won’t be wearing a Gi. This makes it especially valuable for competitors and self-defense-minded practitioners, while still delivering the same full-body conditioning, mental toughness under pressure, and structured progress within a tight-knit training community that Jiu-Jitsu is known for.
